I have had a bad back as a result of an injury I sustained over 15 years ago. I had pretty much given up on all forms of exercise as I couldn’t stand for too long due to the pain Even something as simple as taking off a jumper could cause my back to spasm and leave me bed-ridden. I would count it a good week if I got through with one or two pain-free days. |
Personal Training I started training with Margie just over a year ago. We had to start slowly as I was so unfit and had virtually no muscle tone at all! Margie patiently tailored a weekly program of a Pilates workout that I could manage. The only thing I was hoping for was a bit of muscle tone in my stomach to help me stand just that little bit longer. I was so unfit I could hardly do anything before I started to feel faint. Margie was always optimistic and kept telling me that I’d be able to do much more. I nodded politely, but I didn’t believe her! Now, a year later, I go to the gym once a week, I do yoga once a week and I play basketball on the weekends. My body shape has changed and my posture is 100% better. I can’t begin to describe how big an improvement Margie has made to my life.
I never thought when I started training with her that I would be able to feel this good.
Now I can run, I lift weights, and most days are completely pain free.
It is still unbelievable to me that I have become this fit and I can do things that I never thought I would do again.
