Power Pramming starts with a power walk and fitness based program
Tailored for new mothers. The pram becomes the equivalent of the bars on the treadmill. After all who needs weights when their baby is used for practicing those shoulder lifts?


Mums perform a push up and kiss their child in between each set.


Our groups of power pramming have gained an enthusiastic following. I have created exercises to get women back in to their pre pregnancy shape. Most mothers want to be with their baby especially first time mothers. This is the perfect way to keep mums bonding with their Child whilst exercising. Mothers are advised to wait 6 weeks after giving birth before exercising and 10 weeks after a Caesarean. (All must get permission from their doctor before commencing. The programs begin with a brisk power walk across the park with the babies tucked up in the prams. Then the mothers complete a series of exercises as a Circuit. The circuits vary from Pilates, yoga-lattes, to core Conditioning and all are fun efficient & achieves results whilst shaping mums bodies.

 

The babies are used as weights for shoulder lifts, bicep curls, and ab crunches etc. The list is endless. The babies love it. The mums forget that they are working out hard as they are focused on their baby laughing and enjoying themselves. It is a fabulous way to get fit has fun and exercise all at the same time.

 

MUMS can have their baby with them and do not have to pay for child care, whilst mixing with other mums and getting fresh air.

pre-pregnancy shape and for those mums looking for a support network

The needs of a post-natal mum differ throughout the postnatal recovery cycle. To ensure that you receive the best possible and safest workout relative to your ability, we have devised sessions tailored to your needs. If you feel that your ability exceeds the level of the session offered, speak to your trainer, as they will then progress you to a more challenging workout.

 

Please note: all sessions are of 1-hour duration.

 

Program 1. Workouts for mums that are just starting out
This workout is for the mum who has never really exercised, has only being walking, or is resuming their exercise program after the birth of their child. This program is designed to cater to your postnatal needs and covers a period of approximately 3 months of training (based on 2 pt sessions per week). We target & restore core stability improving flexibility, strengthen your back and chest (therefore enhancing circulation while breastfeeding) and improve cardiovascular fitness and your posture

Throughout this period you will lose weight, gain strength and provide your child with an invigorating and stimulating start to their life.
Pelvic floor reconditioning is integral to this workout. Having successfully completed program 1, mums can then progress to Prog 2

 

Program 2.Mums that have completed program 1.
This program is for Fit mums whom already have a level of cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility and core stability.
As we increase your intensity in your workouts we also set you new goals for your health and fitness.
Our trainers assist you in achieving your health and fitness goals targeting the areas your require/desire. Often creating the body you have always wanted & dreamed of

 

Program 3 Dads GET back in Shape & Bond with their children
This program is for those dads who want to be involved and it gives mums a well-deserved rest.
The workouts vary according to the dad’s health and fitness goals & levels. Some classes consist of boxing, games, and interval-based workouts & of some time pushing the stroller out doors.
Some dads want rock hard abs and a 6 pack so we then target the workout to suit these goals. (Lots of core conditioning).
