Pelvic Floor Instability

The Vibes K.I.S.S Principle for pelvis instability, (keeping it simple successfully) When the pelvis is not aligned it will cause spinal, musculoskeletal problems. Some of the problems are frozen shoulder, lumbago and spondylitis, hip and sciatic pain extending into thigh, and aggravated knee problems.

When you maintain and stabilize the pelvis, (which is the foundation of the skeletal frame) a lot of these problems will disappear. I have found that when the pelvis is not aligned in most cases was the cause of a dysfunctional pelvis and pelvic floor instability.

Also, this may restrict nerve supply and produce pain and limited movement throughout the body. The pelvis being unstable will affect your whole body. Shoulders, upper arms, elbows, wrist, neck, cranial base, and skull, hence the whole body can be affected. When working with my clients and myself I have found two common pelvic lesions were:

  1. Pelvic torsion twisting of one wing (ilium) back/front causing one leg to be shorter than the other.
  2. Pelvis side-to-side tilt causing one leg to be longer, dropping than it’s other leg. (Both these conditions I live with as I was born with the twisting and dropping.

When pelvic lesions was corrected through the exercises I have developed, the tension in my clients and my lumbar spine eased and straightened and relief from pain in either side of the spine usually at waist level, sciatic pain side back and side of thigh was amazing. When your pelvis is straight and you learn to tighten and strengthen this area the skeletal frame will remain horizontal and straight.

This will enable the spine to be flexible, healthy and pain free. It only takes a few minutes a day to perform these exercises. They are simple and easy to do and learn. We all have the power and knowledge to heal ourselves and I know this works as I do it myself daily. The stability of the pelvis will stabilize the spine and improve the health of your spine.

This diagram is exaggerated for teaching purposes only. It is showing you the distortion in the pelvis when it drops to the right side. Showing an unstable sacrum. The spine is now sitting on one oblique side to side of the pelvis base. So the spine is now contorted. The sacrum now twists around on a horizontal plane.
